Pavillon finish also referred to as “acid etch” is a process that removes the surface cement to expose the aggregate with in the concrete slab.
By first grinding the concrete to achieve fully exposing the aggregate, then applying a diluted formula of hydrochloric acid to eat into the cement, which is done as many times as needed to achieve the desired etched finish to the concrete surface, then we wait for all the water to dry so we can apply a sealer that protects the concrete floor from any of the elements making it easy to clean.
Pavilion finish concrete floors are more of an external finish.
It is an attractive finish that is very similar to exposed aggregate driveways with the added bonus of being more comfortable to walk on, you will find that this finish is a perfect well wearing non-slip option for outdoor areas such as walk ways, driveways, alfresco’s and pool surrounds.
