Grind and seals are particularly well-suited for older concrete slabs with distinctive character or those desiring a rustic aesthetic concrete floor with imperfections. They represent an effective method to revitalise concrete floors, restoring them to a like-new appearance, with every concrete floor having its own unique characteristics.
When undertaking a grind and seal project on existing slabs, our options may be influenced by the age and quality of the concrete. Often, it's during the grinding process that the unique characteristics and quality of the slab are revealed. Typically, we roughly grind about 3mm to 5mm, and if additional exposure is desired, we consult with the client accordingly.
Following the grinding process, we apply a sealer, offering various finishes ranging from matte to semi-gloss and high gloss.
Grinding and sealing an old concrete floor presents a more cost-effective approach to surface rejuvenation.
